My Son is Vietnam's most important archaeological site, built from the 4th to the 14th century AD.
 

The site is constructed by the Champa Kings in dedication of the God Shiva. The Cham people originated from the Austronesian people and probably from Borneo controlled the erea covering Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. After the Rise from the Khmer kingdom in the 9th century the Cham people were slowly pushed to the south of Vietnam.
 

One of the highlights of the My Son Sanctuary is it's Architecture, developed throughout 10 centuries displaying a nice insight to the spiritual and political life of the Cham people
