THE BOAT-RACING FESTIVAL IN LY SON ISLAND DISTRICT, QUANG NGAI PROVINCE.
The boat-racing festival in Ly Son island is organized the first time in 1826.
In the past of nearly 200 years, at the Lunar New Year, the fishermens of the island open a boat-racing at the village temple. This is the festival which brings a first of spring atmosphere of the citizen. It has deep significance to memorize the ancestors and the victims of Hoang Sa in the past.
The boats owned the symbol of four souls: the dragon, the lion, the turtle and the phoenix in An Vinh & An Hai village temple create the brilliant color and special feeling with tourists in the country & aboard.

Via this festival, The fishermens also pray the peace, the full life and the happy. In 2019, the boat-racing festival will be held from 10-14 Feb 2019 ( to fall on 6-10 Jan, lunar)
